Milena Lehmann
After leaving my home country Germany as a 19 year old, I followed my passion and graduated as a midwife in NZ in 2009. I worked remote rurally in an all risk model of continuity of care where about 40% of women birthed at home.
When I moved to Australia I had my own two children and worked at Busselton Hospital and in the Margaret River Group Practice (MGP) before finally coming back to private practice.

I want all women feeling safe physically and psychologically, with enough information to give proper informed consent and to make choices that feel right for their family. I see myself as a guardian of the goddess giving birth.
My Skills
I am an endorsed midwife, able to provide full pregnancy care, including ordering blood test and ultrasounds, referrals if needed. For a normal pregnancy you do not need to see a doctor unless you wish to.
I am trained in normal births, water births and in a supportive role during complicated birth eg caesarean births. I can cannulate and suture. I am competent in basic life support and neonatal resuscitation.
For up to 6 weeks I can give postnatal care including mum and baby checks and emotional support.
I am registered with medicare and insured for antenatal and postnatal care.

Full Pregnancy Care
Full private midwifery care from a positive pregnancy test until birth (BIRTH NOT INCLUDED) with midwife check ups at home, telehealth appointments, forms for blood tests and scans, education and preparation, referrals if necessary.
One Off Pregnancy Visit
If you are cared for by a Doctor and want to do shared care to still get midwifery input.

As many visits as you need from the day you get home until up to 6 weeks. mum and baby check ups, breastfeeding support, education
Breastfeeding support
I have extensive breastfeeding training as a midwife. if you need support purely for breastfeeding, this is it.
Birth Care
Full care with birth
As many visits as you need in pregnancy, birth attendance at home or in hospital and visits until up to 6 weeks. No doctor visits required for normal pregnancy. medicare rebates available

About Birthing at home
Birth your way in your environment with the safety of midwifery care.
As much or as little support as you want.
I will be on call for you from 37 weeks until you give birth.
Birth pool, TENS and birth comb included.
About Birthing at hospital
I have admitting rights at Busselton and Bunbury Hospital, which means I can come in with you and care for you during your labour and birth.
No doctor required for normal births but all the help available for more complicated scenarios.
